Jenis Wawancara Kerja

Dalam dunia kerja, dikenal beberapa tipe wawancara kerja sebagai berikut:
1. Wawancara Seleksi (Screening Interview). Jika pelamar atau kandidat untuk menduduki jabatan berjumlah lebih dari satu orang maka dilakukan wawancara kerja untuk menyeleksi siapa diantara kandidat tersebut merupakan kandidat yang paling qualified sehingga bisa dilanjutkan ke tahap seleksi berikutnya. Wawancara seleksi biasanya berlangsung singkat antara 15 – 30 menit.

2. Wawancara Telepon (Telephone Interview). Demi menghemat biaya dan efisiensi waktu, banyak recruiter yang melakukan wawancara kerja melalui telepon. Oleh sebab itu, pelamar harus siap dihubungi sewaktu- waktu, sebab seringkali recruiter tidak memberikan pilihan bagi pelamar untuk menentukan waktu kapan ia siap diwawancarai melalui telepon.

3. Wawancara di Kampus / Sekolah (On-Campus Interview). Meskipun tidak banyak perusahaan yang melakukan wawancara kerja di kampus, namun untuk perusahaan-perusahaan tertentu yang mencari para lulusan untuk dilatih lebih lanjut, cara ini dinilai sangat efektif karena memberikan akses bagi perusahaan tersebut untuk mendapatkan kandidat terbaik yang mungkin sangat sulit diperoleh jika menunggu para kandidat tersebut datang melamar.

4. Wawancara di Pameran Kerja (Job Fair Interview). Pameran kerja diadakan untuk menjembatani perusahaan dengan para pencari kerja. Pada pameran kerja biasanya, perusahaan memberikan berbagai informasi mengenai perusahaannya, menerima surat lamaran dan CV dari pengunjung (pencari kerja), bahkan tidak jarang para recruiter langsung melakukan wawancara di stand (booth) mereka. Di Indonesia memang pameran seperti ini masih sangat jarang dilaksanakan jika dibandingkan dengan pameran otomotif, rumah maupun furniture.

5· Wawancara di Lokasi Kerja (On-Site Interview). Ketika seorang kandidat telah lolos dalam tahap wawancara seleksi, seringkali perusahaan mengundang kandidat tersebut untuk melihat secara langsung lokasi kerja. Pada kesempatan tersebut recruiter biasanya langsung melakukan wawancara secara mendalam. Bagi pelamar yang belum memiliki pengalaman kerja pada lokasi yang lingkungannya kurang lebih sama, wawancara kerja di lokasi mungkin bisa terasa menakutkan karena mungkin harus melakukan perjalanan dan berada di wilayah yang tidak ia kenal.

6· Wawancara Kelompok (Panel or Group Interview). Wawancara kelompok adalah suatu jenis wawancara kerja dimana para pewawancara (recruiter) terdiri dari 2 (dua) orang atau lebih. Biasanya wawancara jenis ini dilakukan jika perusahaan memandang bahwa pelamar sudah hampir memenuhi syarat untuk diterima bekerja. Biasanya para penanya dalam wawancara inilah yang memiliki wewenang untuk memutuskan apakah pelamar akan diterima bekerja atau tidak.

7· Wawancara Kasus (Case Interview). Wawancara kerja jenis ini menekankan pada kemampuan analisis dan pemecahan masalah terhadap suatu kasus tertentu. Biasanya dalam wawancara kasus, pelamar diminta untuk berperan sebagai pemegang jabatan yang ditawarkan, lalu diberikan sebuah kasus untuk dicarikan solusinya.


Cara Berpakaian Yang Baik Dalam Wawancara

Berpakaian yang “baik” dalam wawancara memang tidak dapat digeneralisasikan karena setiap perusahaan memiliki kebiasaan-kebiasaan/budaya perusahaan yang berbeda. Namun, ada beberapa tips yang dapat diingat, antara lain:

Cari informasi terlebih dahulu tentang perusahaan dan Bapak/Ibu yang akan mewawancarai anda. Beberapa perusahaan memiliki peraturan atau “kebiasaan” berpakaian secara formal, tetapi ada juga yang semi formal, atau bahkan ada yang bebas. Hal ini penting, agar anda tidak dilihat sebagai “orang aneh’, disesuaikan dengan posisi yang akan dilamar. Bagi pelamar pria disarankan menggunakan kemeja lengan panjang dan berdasi, tidak perlu menggunakan jas. Berpakaian rapi dan bersih, tidak kusut. Hal ini memberi kesan bahwa anda menghargai wawancara ini.

Berpakaian dengan warna yang tidak terlalu menyolok (misalkan mengkilap, ngejreng). Bagi pelamar wanita berpakaian yang tidak terlalu ketat (rok bawah, kancing baju atasan).Berpakaian dengan desain yang simpel (tidak telalu banyak pernik-pernik, toh ini bukan acara pesta).Tidak berlebihan dalam menggunakan wewangian dan perhiasan.
